Swine Influenza Update

On July 2, the UK moved from Containment phase to the Treatment phase.  More can be learned about this decision on the Department of Health website.  Swine flu: from containment to treatment

The latest Department for Transport Note to Transport Sector Industry Stakeholders details the refined health protection response to H1N1 in light of experienced gained so far.  Most notably, the new approach gives the HPA greater freedom to determine how suspected cases should be managed locally.  Transport sector stakeholders should refer to the note for further guidance on contact training and contingency planning.
