Training Opportunities

Scottish Port Health Training Day
5th November 2008, Crowne Plaza Hotel, Glasgow
Health Protection Scotland will be running this one day course for Scottish authorities responsible for port health.

The day will address recent developments around port health due to the UK's ratification of the International Health Regulations and will also note actions to be taken in Scotland in order to take forward designation of ports under the IHR.

Speakers have been invited from the Health Protection Agency, the UK National Focal Point and from the Association of Port Health Authorities with the aim of highlighting standards in practice required for public health action at ports. We hope for a good attendance, so that professionals who may be involved in routine and emergency activities at ports may be properly informed.

The event will begin at 9.00 and finish at approximately 16.30. Please see the  flyer and registration form below for further details. If you require any more information please contact the HPA conferences department.

If you wish to attend please return a completed registration form to coursesandconferences@hps.scot.nhs.uk by Friday the 31st of October.
